How the Silhouette ™ Soft Threads are applied
Silhouette ™ Soft threads are transparent and carry multiple small cones in opposite directions, lifting the skin as we would in a facelift surgery. Initially, the doctor notes the points from which the suture will pass, following the local anesthetic and local antisepsis being injected. The threads are then pushed under the skin and once all the cones have entered, the doctor handles them so that the skin rises to the desired point.
What to expect after treatment
The total duration is about 60 minutes and is done with local anesthesia in the clinic. Immediately after treatment, there may be a slight swelling for a few hours. There may be some ecchymosis, which will gradually decline over the next 24 hours, while slight sensitivity may occur in the area, as well as some folds that will also resolve in a few days.
There are neither incisions nor external sutures on the skin. It is important to know that there is no particular pain, but only a minimal pulling sensation from uplifting the face.
