The Palomar pulsed light system reverses sun damage fast and with no downtime.
Light gives meaning to life. Especially in Greece, light is an eternal value. The summer light always makes us look more beautiful. Photorejuvenation, a technique that uses light, offers an effective photo therapy, treating any damage caused by the sun. It also improves the skin quality of both the face and the body.

What problems does photorejuvenation with Palomar treat?
Photo-aging: This includes any pigmentation we notice on our face, especially on the upper lip, hands and décolleté.
Melasma and sun spots
Rosacea: chronic facial erythema (redness)
Capillaries: These are the facial vessels but also the small spider veins on our legs.
The photorejuvenation procedure
Photorejuvenation is one of the safest procedures offering immediate results. Most of the times, there is no downtime. The sessions are not time consuming and the patient may go back to work immediately, looking shiny and bright.
The high-tech Palomar systems used in photorejuvenation have special tips which filter pulsed light so that capillaries and pigmentation signs are the only targets. The tip emits pulsed light into the skin which is absorbed by the pigment in sunspots and by the blood in the visible vessels. Thus, after some sessions, the imperfections disappear within two weeks. The Palomar photorejuvenation system may also be used on the face, apart from the area around the eyes, neck, chest, hands, back and legs.
The session is quite brief and no more than 3-4 sessions are required. The doctor places the Palomar tip on the problematic areas. The tip emits pulsed light which takes away the signs of sun damage. The patient may feel a mild sensation of heat on the treated area.
You probably wonder what the difference between Palomar photorejuvenation light and the classic laser is. The two techniques don’t have many differences. The Palomar photorejuvenation system uses a much bigger crystal tip so that the light is spread over a larger area of the body, offering faster and better results.
After the photorejuvenation treatment
About 2-4 hours post treatment you may feel a slight sensation of sunburn. You can apply a hydration cream or ice packs. At first, the sunspots will become darker but they will disappear after two weeks. If you have rosacea, you will notice that your face will become more red. However, this redness will subside after one week. Finally, the capillaries will also subside and in some cases they will even disappear. They usually become darker and fade after two weeks.
